New and Improved Thinner Steel Posts Now Shipping! April 18 2014, 0 Comments
- Made out of Stainless Steel. The old style "Chicago Binding Posts" were made from aluminium. The stainless steel is much stronger than aluminium and therefore less likely to strip, bind, or break over time.
- Narrow 3.5 mm Diameter. The old style "Chicago Binding Posts" were 4.76 mm in diameter. For some types of keys, it was necessary to enlarge the hole to fit the old style "Chicago Binding Post." The new custom post has a much narrower diameter and should fit nearly every key without modification! In addition, the new style post has been designed to be fully interchangeable with the old style "Chicago Binding Post"! Even though the diameter through the keys is smaller we kept the diameter within the BladeKey the same so that the post will not jingle or have any play!
- Pre-Applied Thread Lock. While many people had no issue with the "Chicago Binding Post" coming undone, other people have noted that they need to constantly tighten or apply thread locker to their post to prevent it from coming undone. The new custom post comes from the factory with blue nylon thread lock pre-applied!

If you have placed a pre-order in the last few months THANK YOU! I have begun processing everyone's pre-orders and you should have seen, or will see in the next few days, an email notifying you that your payment has been processed.
Once all of those go through. I will then bulk process and ship the orders to get them out as efficiently as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Just received the finished products from the factory ... now gearing up to ship!
Order Status and Shipping Timeframe August 06 2013, 0 Comments
I have been getting a lot of email inquries from BladeKey customers who have ordered through the website regarding the date their orders will ship.
I expect to receive the finished units from the factory around August 16. At that point, I will begin shipping all of the Kickstarter and website orders as fast as possible.
For those who have ordered through the website, you have not been billed yet. Once I receive the units from the factory I will begin processing orders and running the credit card information. As your order is being processed, you should receive an email informing you that your credit card payment (or PayPal payment) has been processed.
I really appreciate everyones support getting BladeKey off the ground and patience as we have been working to get everything manufactured. I hope to get everyones BladeKey shipped as soon as I possibly can, but am not certain on the timeframe that any particular order will be shipped at this point.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.
Best and thanks again,

Our Pre-Order System Now Accepts PayPal! July 16 2013, 0 Comments
Over the past couple months I have received a lot of questions as to whether or not PayPal can be used to pre-order a BladeKey. Now it is an option! The pre-order form is available at http://bladekey.com/pre-order-a-bladekey-bolt .
The factory should be finishing up production soon, and I hope to have an update regarding the final production units and shipping in the near future.
Production Update June 26 2013, 0 Comments
Thank you so much for the support and all of the Pre-Orders. I have been updating the Kickstarter Backers on the production, and want to make sure that everyone who has pre-ordered through Celery has some idea of the production status as well.
A couple weeks ago I received confirmation that the initial deposit wire transfer made it to the factory. I also received and approved the final production drawings from the factory. I expect to receive the finished BladeKey devices within the next few weeks and will then begin packaging and sending them as fast as I am able.
